When will Eva's nail bar open on Raeford Road in Fayetteville?

Oct 19, 2024Oct 19, 2024

A new nail salon featuring a mimosa bar, Eva’s Nail Bar, is set to open on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

Owned by husband-and-wife team Jerry and Eva Pi, the 5,500-square-foot facility, formerly a car wash, has undergone extensive renovations to gear up for its grand opening on Saturday, Eva Pi said. She said the salon features a range of amenities, including pedicure chairs, custom nail stations, a reception area and a full suite of services, including pedicures, nail enhancements, massages, lash and brow services, waxing and services for children ages 2 to 10.

Pi said the salon offers customers a complimentary champagne mimosa upon verifying their legal drinking age. She said each customer is limited to one mimosa, making it a special treat during their typically hour-long nail services.

"My customer is my boss. I am not the boss," Pi said. "We have a bar inside. We have mimosas but we give for free, we don't sell it. We just give a champagne mimosa."

Pi said that her salon features 16 individual units available for rent by nail technicians, lash specialists and other beauty professionals. She said the spaces allow individual technicians to offer a range of services, including waxing and facials, while building their own clientele. She said all salon units are fully rented and ready for opening day.

Pi, originally from Vietnam, lived in California and New Jersey before relocating to Fayetteville in 2014, where she eventually met her husband, Jerry. Celebrating 10 years in the area, she credits her development and newfound confidence, which encouraged her to open the business, to the welcoming community she discovered at Village Baptist Church. Pi said she has more than a decade of experience as a nail technician and owning her own salon is a dream come true.

She said she feels that people in America are generally indifferent to race or background and are supportive of her efforts to realize her dreams, recognizing the hard work she puts in to achieve her goals, despite her being from a different country.

"I come from Vietnam. I don't have anything. I don't have money; I don't know English. I don't have credit, I don't have a house, I don't have a husband," Pi said Tuesday. "But if you have a dream, you work hard, you believe in yourself, and American people will help and make your dream come true. If I can do it, you can do it."
