Groom, fluff, and fill in your brows with ease.
We don't have to tell you how important brows are. Whether you're a fan of brow gels or pencils, or you like to DIY a laminated look, brow products are essential to your makeup bag—as is a good eyebrow brush. From a classic spoolie to an angled brush, these tools help shape, fill in, and separate hairs better than product alone. Simply put, they're must-haves—so, here, we've rounded up 11 of the best eyebrow brushes around.
"Aside from a normal spoolie, I love this brow brush," says celebrity brow artist René de la Garza, who works with A-listers like Lizzo and Cardi B.
This tool has it all: One end has a classic spoolie brush to separate and groom hairs, while the other has an angled brush that can be used for carefully applying brow gels and pomades.
You can't go wrong with this spoolie from go-to tool brand Tweezerman for fluffing, separating, and defining brows.
Anastasia Beverly Hills is synonymous with all things brows, so naturally the line's pencil (with included spoolie brush) is a cult favorite. "Been using this product for about 10 years. I love the creamy texture and it doesn't smudge," one Sephora fan writes, adding, "The spoolie brush is great for blending the color to give you a natural look. I finish it off with a little brow gel. One pencil usually lasts me 10 months."
If you don't love the idea of using a (clean) toothbrush on your brows, this brush is the next best thing. Plus, it's inexpensive, and the other side features a handy lash comb.
Brow powders and pomades are best applied with an angled brush like this one, which also happens to be less than $10.
Your brows will never look better with this trio on hand. In addition to a mini spoolie, it also features the brand's iconic slant tweezers and shaping scissors.
"This eyebrow pencil has the perfect creamy consistency, and has a great color payoff. I'm able to carve out and fill in my brows without causing unnecessary dragging or having to apply too many layers of product to make it show up on my skin tone. The built-in spoolie streamlines the brow process because you won't have to switch tools or bring out a pencil sharpener." —Mariah Morrison, senior social media editor
This super-skinny, dense brush is multipurpose; use it to brush out brows, draw on winged liner, or blend out eye shadow.
This one-tool wonder takes things a step further, adding a comb to the mix so you have everything you need to groom, no matter the product you're using.
Typically used for lip products, de la Garza likes these doe-foot applicators for smoothing brows down. Keep a couple in your purse, travel tote, gym bag, and anywhere else you foresee needing a touch-up.
"A perfect brow brush is firm enough to separate the hair, but gentle enough to not irritate or sensitize the skin," celeb brow artist René de la Garza says. Different brushes should be used depending on your desired results too. "I love a spoolie to separate and a softer doe-foot lip wand to smooth the brows into place," de la Garza says. And in a pinch, "A soft bristle toothbrush is also great!"
Follow the natural arch of the brow, but use the brush for shaping. "An eyebrow brush should be used in an upward and outward direction to create lift and separation," de la Garza says. "For dense areas of the brow, you can swivel the brush into the brows to create more separation," as the artist demonstrates in this Instagram video.
