Louisiana Chalmette hair salon damaged car crash

A car plowed into a Chalmette hair salon Wednesday morning.

The business owners said deputies responded to the Angel and Company salon around 2 a.m.

According to the business owner, deputies said the woman driving the car was on medication and drove into the building.

She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The woman is expected to recover.

There was nobody inside the building at the time of the crash.

The crash also damaged a liquor store beside the salon.

Both businesses are without power and water at this time.
