From all the hype, you'd probably think Kylie Jenner's lipsticks are some of the best out there right now. After all, Jenner claimed that she broke Google analytics because so many people flocked to her site when the lipsticks went on sale. But Jeffree Star, a major beauty influencer and cosmetics creator, took to Twitterthis weekend to share his short yet harsh review of Kylie Glosses:
He tweeted, "So I got the new Kylie Cosmetics lip glosses.... SO disappointed in this product. That wand is unacceptable." Here's the photo Star provided of the wands:
Yikes. From the looks of his photo, those wands have definitely seen better days. Star said he knows Jenner previously announced on Snapchat that she'd changed the wands of her lip glosses but he doesn't think it's fair that her first customers will be considered mere testers, while her later customers will end up getting a better product. "No shade but... How the fuck can a multimillion dollar celebrity think this is acceptable?? Was there no quality control? I've seen on her personal Snapchat, that she kinda addressed this issue and said the wand would be better next time…do I get a refund?," tweeted Star. "So the first customers were just guinea pigs? How is that fair for a consumer to get something shitty and then the next launch its fixed? So there's my thoughts... Take it how you want. I just hope she works harder on quality control and spends more time on future products."
Immediately, other people who received Kylie Glosses responded to Star's tweets with their own photos of mangled wands. One person compared her Kylie Gloss wand to Cynthia, Angelica Pickles's doll from Rugrats:

Another opened up her Kylie Gloss and saw a horrible surprise:

And one more person received a gloss that not only had a messed-up wand but had also exploded in the package and ended up destroying her leggings:

Since Star is a respected and famous makeup artist, his words reached Jenner (even as she was partying it up at Coachella). Jenner quickly posted this video to her Kylie Cosmetics account, stating that she does "care a lot about the quality of my products," and citing the fact that she changed the formula of her matte lip products after receiving feedback as an example of how much she cares. "When I saw the problem with my lip gloss brushes I stopped all production and changed it. Life is a learning experience and we learn from our mistakes," Jenner wrote in the caption.

But after Jenner released her comments, Star had more to say. "How ironic that it took ME giving an honest review, which got worldwide attention, to get Kylie Cosmetics to make a statement," he tweeted. "I'm just glad they're finally addressing the issue and fixing it, that's all me and every customer that got those wands wanted..." Star also cleared the air, making sure people knew there was no bad blood between him and Jenner.

We're happy that Star is looking out for all the regular people who waited and shelled out a lot of money, who deserve quality products from Jenner.
